Are you a Meeting House Hill resident looking to enhance your education?
Receive $500.00 to support your future education at a community college, four-year university or trade school!
This scholarship is designed to help support a student who lives in the Meeting House Hill/Bowdoin Geneva Neighborhood of Dorchester, MA and who is attending a community college, four year university or trade school.
The scholarship will help the recipient purchase textbooks, a computer or any other electronic device as needed to support the student’s education.
This award will be made in the amount of $500.00. The recipient of this scholarship will have one academic year to spend the award and return a letter describing how they used the funds to improve their education.
ONE scholarship will be awarded to the candidate who best demonstrates the following:
Completed Application Form.
A typed personal statement, no more than 500 words in length. Choose one of the two topics below to address in your statement
A letter of recommendation from a teacher, mentor or person who can comment on your leadership, professionalism, community involvement and/or volunteer service. This letter cannot be from a parent, or family member. It should be from someone you trust and who knows you and your potential to succeed in your future education.
Scholarships applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Subcommittee of the Meeting House Hill Civic Association and awards will be granted on a rolling basis.

The student who receives the award will write a brief letter to the Meeting House Hill Civic Association Scholarship Committee of how they used the scholarship funds, and how it benefited their educational experience. If possible, please include a picture of an important educational experience from the semester.
The letter will be due no later than one year following the date of the award.
This letter should be submitted to Meeting House Hill President to the address listed above. This letter will be with shared with the Meeting House Hill Civic Association members.
